Freunde der Aktion Sühnezeichen Friedensdienste in Israel

The organization "Friends of Action Reconciliation in Israel" has been active as a non-profit organization in Israel since 1991 and is very closely linked to Aktion Sühnezeichen Friedensdienste e.V. (ASF) in Germany. The association is the founder of 'Beit Ben Yehuda youth meeting center' in Jerusalem, which is a seminar and meeting center for international encounter projects in Israel. At the same time, this meeting place also serves as the regional headquarters of ASF in Israel. From here, the organization “Freunde der Aktion Sühnezeichen Israel” (”Friends of Action Reconciliation in Israel”) coordinates the work of the ASF volunteers in various social projects, homes for the elderly, archives and memorial sites. The focus of this work in Israel is the engagement with the history of National Socialism and the Shoah as well as an active commitment to survivors of Nazi persecution, for people with disabilities and socially disadvantaged people. ASF in Israel is actively engaged in reconciliation, peace and interreligious dialogue and against all forms of anti-Semitism, racism, discrimination and exclusion.
