Maidla Youth Centre is opened since 2009. It runs on youth initiative and support and considering foremost their preferences. Main activities are contact work with youngsters, activities that are aimed towards youngsters, and creating an environment that supports their diverse development. Daily the center is opened for youngsters from 7 to 27 but in general, the average visitor is between 7 to 16. During events that are aimed at the whole community the age variety is more diverse – there are youngsters with siblings, parents, grandparents, and so on. Regular activities in the center are ceramics and handicraft workshops, developing games and board games, activities in nature, sports, projects from youngsters to youngsters, participating in community and nationwide projects, participating and organizing charity events, celebrating old traditional calendar events.
