Institutia Religioasa Misiunea Sociala "Diaconia" a Mitropoliei Basarabiei

Established in 2001, Diaconia Social Mission is a structure of the Bessarabian Metropolitan Church, dedicated to supporting vulnerable groups in the Republic of Moldova. Our vision is to foster a proactive society guided by Christian values through the Church’s continuous and structured social actions. Diaconia serves as a model of excellence in providing compassionate and impactful support to those in need. We develop and implement social intervention models for children, youth, and adults, promoting a human-centered approach that upholds the dignity of every individual as a reflection of God’s image. Our work is based on mutual trust and cooperation with social partners, ensuring a professional and values-driven impact. Our services are accessible to all, delivered in a non-discriminatory manner, regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, gender, disability, or political affiliation. Since November 3, 2016, Diaconia has been accredited as a hosting organization for volunteering activities by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, offering individuals meaningful opportunities to engage in social service and community development.
