ÖFSE – Austrian Foundation for Development Research – is a Vienna-based research and information center on development cooperation and development policy. As a world-class research, information and educational institute, it is home to Austria’s most extensive library on development politics, the C3-Library for International Development, and an event center encouraging wide-reaching public engagement and dialogue on sustainable development politics. It actively promotes the UN 2030 Agenda through regular publications, conferences and workshops, as well as through radio broadcasting, videos and a lively social media presence. ÖFSE’s long-standing expertise in research on inclusive and equitable quality education and the role of education in international development politics fuels its engagement in applied research on Global Citizenship Education. Among other projects, ÖFSE currently applies participative methods for effective learning on sustainable development across a network of 150 Austrian high schools.
