MISSION: We are an association made up of people with mental diversity and experiences of psychosocial suffering. We work to promote and support all kinds of actions aimed at improving the health of the population, as well as the autonomy, rights and empowerment of the group in the face of the shortcomings of the current situation. VISION: We want to be recognized and recognize ourselves as agents of change that make visible the problems related to mental suffering in order to: eradicate “sanity” (attitudes and behaviors that stereotype, prejudge and discriminate against people diagnosed or labeled as 'crazy', from a perspective of 'sane' superiority), promoting psychosocial integration and favoring autonomy, empowerment and the living conditions of people who have lived unusual experiences and emotional, intellectual and social suffering. For this, it is necessary to obtain adequate social, political and institutional attention. OBJECTIVES (According to statutes): “- Claim and promote the defense of individual and collective rights and freedoms of people with mental diversity or suffering from psychiatric diagnoses […] - Offer information, guidance and support to the members of Hierbabuena and to people with mental diversity and experiences of psychosocial suffering […] - To promote the empowerment of the mentally diverse group and of people with experiences of psychosocial suffering, as well as the creation of collaboration and mutual support networks among its members, develop cultural, training, occupational, recreational, leisure and related activities. nature that contribute to the improvement of the health of the participants. - Encourage volunteering in all possible ways, both among the members of Hierbabuena and by collaborators and supporters. - Promote and demand the participation of Hierbabuena and our group in forums for discussion, opinion and decision, as well as in the development of care plans by the health and social systems […] - Calling attention to the seriousness of the situations experienced by the members of our group, especially in cases with greater vulnerability or risk of exclusion […] as well as demanding equal and respectful treatment for them, which guarantees access to health adequate physical and mental, - Promote the visibility of problems related to mental suffering […] - Developing strategies to eradicate “bodyism” […] If necessary, denounce the discriminatory facts or situations for the group or for any of its members, - Encourage and develop programs specifically aimed at childhood, adolescence and youth aimed at promoting mental health and preventing mental suffering […] - Promote and develop specific programs for women with psychosocial disabilities […] (and) for older people with psychosocial disabilities […] - Promote education and professional training of people with psychosocial disabilities, demand equal opportunities in access to employment, adequate conditions in the workplace […] - Facilitate and support access to housing for people with psychosocial disabilities in conditions that contribute to eliminating the causes of psychosocial suffering. " GENERAL ACTIVITIES: Our general program includes different actions and projects, articulated in 5 areas of action, which include the following activities: - Health and psychosocial support area: o Mutual support groups. o Activities and workshops of the "Social Club" (may vary, expanding if new initiatives arise): § Physical activities: Yoga. § Training activities: Healthy Cooking, Computer Science, Social Networks and Smartphone, Library, Urban Garden .. § Leisure activities: Chat and walk, Prao mornings, Leisure outings and free time. § Artistic expression activities: Writing Workshop; Artistic Expression Workshop. - Volunteer Area: o Internal volunteering (people who carry out workshops, activity monitors and organizational support volunteers. o External volunteering: Accompaniment in the residences for the elderly of the ERA. o Volun
