Omladinski savez udruženja ''OPENS''

OPENS is a resource center that works to empower young people and people who work with them, as well as youth organizations and organizations for young people. Through our vision, we advocate that young people in Serbia are healthy, economically independent, equal and actively contribute to the sustainable development of the community in which they live and want to stay. The methodology of OPENS work is based on the principles of youth work and innovative methods of strengthening the capacity of youth policy actors. Back in 2019 OPENS implemented a European Youth Capital project in Novi Sad that empowered youth and encouraged youth to participate in decision-making processes and be active citizens, strengthened youth organizations and developed new spaces for youth – “OPENS Youth Center”. Main target group of OPENS is YOUTH in general, civil society organizations and representatives of decision-makers. But, through our programs we reach also young people with fewer opportunities. Through various mechanisms, programs, discussions, and work, we have been: developing a framework for sustainable youth policy and cooperation with decision makers in that regard; advocating values that are relevant to young people and supporting their personal, professional and social growth; and increasing networking and sustainability of youth and youth organizations.
