Bursa Informatics and Governance Association (BBYD) aims to carry its inclusive and youth-based work in the youth field to the international volunteering dimension by applying for the ESC Quality Label with its role as a leading organization within the scope of ESC. In Turkey, 27.2% of young people are NEET and there are serious inequalities in access to 21st century skills. Since its establishment in 2018, BBYD has organized more than 60 workshops on improving the skills of young people, reached more than 750 young people and carried out social inclusion-based activities with a particular focus on women and young people in rural areas. Our aim in applying for the ESC Quality Label is to provide young people with opportunities for social inclusion, intercultural learning and skills acquisition through volunteering; to increase digital inclusion and popularize the culture of volunteering. Thanks to the Quality Label, we will develop volunteering projects on various themes, such as sending 10 young people abroad in the first year and hosting 5 foreign volunteers, which will increase every year. BBYD aims to cooperate with 25 strategic partners in Europe to support the development of young people in the fields of informal learning, entrepreneurship and environmental awareness. For us, the ESC Quality Label is not only an accreditation but also the foundation of a long-term vision aimed at institutional quality, local-international cooperation and youth empowerment.
