Connect Your City - Brussels

Connect Brussels (Connect Your City – Brussels ASBL; https://connectbrussels.eu/) is a Belgian non-profit organization founded in 2019. Our mission is to empower young people, especially those from socially vulnerable groups, to actively engage in civic life through creative activities, activism, and volunteering. We focus on fostering a new European cultural identity that values diversity, social pluralism, and solidarity. Connect Brussels operates a dynamic and inclusive youth center located in Jette, Brussels. We empower young people, especially NEET individuals and vulnerable first and second generation migrant communities, to develop life skills, strengthen their well-being, and actively participate in society. Connect Brussels is part of the Connect Your City youth network (https://connectyourcity.eu/), comprising 9 youth centers across Belgium (1), Greece (7), and Cyprus (1), supported by over 10,000 volunteers. Drawing inspiration from successful European models like Connect Athens and Connect Thessaloniki in Greece, we foster personal growth, social action, and active citizenship. Our programs—ranging from skill-building workshops and mental health support to cultural events and sustainability projects—promote inclusivity, resilience, and a strong sense of European solidarity. Our vision is to cultivate a supportive environment where all cultural, social, and ethnic identities are respected and celebrated.
