The Secretariat for Youth of the Westpomeranian Region supports the participation of young people in the public and social life of the region. In practice, this means facilitating involvement in educational and social projects, cultural campaigns and events, as well as volunteer activity. The Secretariat for Youth of the Westpomeranian Region was launched on 2 May 2005, and has acted as an independent financed entity ever since. We are the only institution of this type operating within any Regional Government in Poland. Providing information, directed at young people and residents of the Westpomeranian Region in general, is one of our basic activities. Since early 2012 the Eurodesk Regional Information Point has operated at the Secretariat for Youth, providing free information about studies and work abroad, and helping to find project partners. Since 2013 we have also run the Europe Direct – Szczecin Information Point, where you can obtain information on every subject connected with the European Union, including the legal system, the procurement of funds and mobility. Each year about 850 people take part in our workshops organised in Szczecin and in the region, and the events co-hosted by us are attended by several hundred participants. Each year we involve youth in international projects, seminars and exchanges organised with international partners. Unitl this time we have organised and was partner in youth projects in the Netherlands, Poland, Germany, France, Norway, Estonia and Finland.
