YA BASTA BOLOGNA ODV

Ya Basta Bologna ODV is active in Italy since 2001, founded and managed by young people. Main objective of its intervention is social inclusion and solidarity through direct involvement of youths, migrants, women, minorities and people at risk of marginality and vulnerability. Ya Basta Bologna pursues the defence and respect of human rights and equality against discrimination, the promotion of active citizenship and social cooperation, included voluntary engagement, and the promotion of sustainable and fair development and lifestyles. Together with other associations, Ya Basta manages the youth centre TPO, a centre for artistic, cultural, social activities for people's participation recognised by a MoU with Municiaplity of Bologna. Thanks to partnerships with local authorities, sport clubs, schools, universities and civil society organisations, the young members of the association implement projects and activities like: a) support to migrants citizens' rights and integration, through capacity building labs, legal assistance, international solidarity at European borders, raising awareness and information campaigns; b) youth work and sport activities for young people in vulnerable situations, support to education for early school living prevention, gaming, video and radio communication workshops; c) social activities with the local community to promote participation to democratic processes and community-based decision making in deprived urban areas; grass-roots mutual-help initiatives to prevent poverty, public raising awareness actions and campaigns.
