Each year, thousands of students from over 75 different countries submit their undergraduate research projects to us, and more than 700 academics from around the world volunteer with us to review these submissions and select the top winners in each of the 25 categories. We ensure that this process is legitimate, independent, and without bias by requiring that all entries are anonymised before it is sent to the judges, so students from every background, country, and university have the opportunity to succeed. We publish the winning entries in our online journal, and the winning students are then invited to attend our annual awards summit in Dublin to receive their award in-person and present their research. With its keynote speakers, collaborative break-out sessions, the summit creates an environment where students, academics, and businesses can come together to celebrate the achievements of young people, confront on major issues facing our society, and network with other innovators. This network is maintained year-round by our alumni and judges on social media generally and on our private networking site, where students and academics can connect and continue to collaborate and engage their shared critical thinking.
