The Community Volunteers Foundation (TOG) was established in 2002 with the aim of increasing the participation of young people in social responsibility projects in Turkey. The foundation's primary goal is to raise awareness of social issues among youth, develop their leadership skills, and promote the spirit of volunteerism. TOG encourages young people to contribute to society through various social projects, which encompass areas such as education, environment, health, culture, and arts. By taking active roles in these projects, volunteer youth not only enhance their personal development but also become effective actors in addressing societal challenges. Some of TOG’s initiatives include educational programs for disadvantaged groups, environmental protection projects, activities that support young people's involvement in artistic endeavors, and awareness-raising campaigns. Additionally, the foundation collaborates with various local and national entities to mobilize the resources necessary for social development. It provides opportunities for young people to develop and implement their own project ideas, along with mentorship support. TOG also organizes programs that allow youth to gain international experience, thereby increasing their sensitivity to global issues. All these activities aim to strengthen the social fabric of Turkey and ensure that young people grow up as active citizens.
