TunVerstehen’s mission is to offer development opportunities that empower young people, foster integration, and promote understanding of individual and societal actions through constructive debate and engagement. The name TunVerstehen comes from German and means “Understanding the action”. In our globalized world, there are many actors from different backgrounds, influencing and interacting with each other on multiple levels. The goal of the organization is to foster mutual understanding, by analyzing individual and group actions in the context of cultures and individual needs, in order to gain a deeper understanding of one’s own needs and how these are expressed through actions. At TunVerstehen, we believe that individuals are shaped by various influences, including society, family, friends, and personal interests. These multifaceted influences mold our behaviors, values, and actions, ultimately contributing to who we are as individuals. Central to our mission is the understanding that every action is an expression of a deeper need. Our goal is to decode the meaning behind actions, tracing them back to the underlying needs.
