Youth Association from Transylvania

ATA, the Youth Association from Transylvania is an organization set up in the end of 2011. Its founders all have extensive experience in the NGO field, by writing, managing and organizing local and regional projects, Youth in Action Exchanges, Initiatives, Voluntary projects and Trainings, and Leonardo da Vinci Mobilities. The objectives of the association is to enable youth from the Romanian region of Transylvania to take part as hosts and sending organization and be involved in European projects. We aim to help develop, promote and represent the general interests of the communities in Transylvania by having volunteering based social, cultural, sporting, educational, recreational and professional training activities, and thus thus promoting the active involvement of youth in the perpetuation of ethnic, national and European values. We are currently searching for 10 long term EVS volunteers (9-12 months) who would do activities within our NGO, in the city of Cristuru Secuiesc and the region. Currently they have 7 EVS volunteers doing similar projects and most of them will finish in July 2014. They would host new ones after they finish. These are the profiles and activities we wish to apply for on March 17: 1. Starting July - Supporting the local Radio station – 2 volunteers 2. Starting July - Supporting the local TV station – 1 volunteer 3. Starting October - Recycling and up-cycling education manager – 1 volunteer 4. Starting July - Support person for the Hosting Organization – 2 volunteer 5. Starting July - Support person for nurseries, day care centers and kindergartens - 2 volunteers 6.
