Development Assistance Center

DAC is a Swedish non-governmental organization based in Västra Götalands region. The association's goal is to contribute to the socioeconomic development of the communities through information, marketing, consultancy services, development activities and training activities dedicated to various social categories, companies, public authorities, trade unions, NGOs and other interested stakeholders that develop activities on a local, regional, national and international level. In order to reach its goal DAC: Develops activities with the intent to contribute to the personal and professional development and to reduce socio-economic inequalities for young people, professional groups, unemployed and vulnerable groups. Develops activities that promote the principles of sustainable development, social economy, human rights, equality, tolerance, solidarity, youth participation, active citizenship, European identity, development, fair trade and international solidarity, environmental protection, democracy, sports, health, culture, poverty, media, etc. For the period DAC will focus its efforts in working with four main areas of interest: • Capacity building for civic society organisations; • Sustainable development and healthy lifestyle; • Entrepreneurship and social entrepreneurship/economy; • Women rights and fight against human trafficking. Since 2014 DAC is a member of the Anna Lindh Foundation http://www.annalindhfoundation.org/networks/sweden At this point DAC is working with the implementation of several international projects: • Mobility of youth workers on the topic of human trafficking. Partners from Romania, Moldova, Ukraine, Georgia, Turkey and Italy; • Capacity building on the topic of social entrepreneurship. Partners from Finland, Italy, Greece, Romania, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina and Peru; • Strategic partnership on developing Project Managements Instruments.
