Trex was created in 2007 with the aim of providing common space for Turkish Ex EVS volunteers. The association’s center is in İzmir but we are doing youth works in national level. We mainly doing our activities online except for the activities and meetings of local group. Soon we would like to create a hosting project in the topic as youth information. As an association acting in the field of youth our vision is to promote youth mobility and encourage especiallu our disadvantaged youth to take active role in life. Our basic mission is to be an INFORMATION BRIDGE between ex and future European volunteers and to help passing on the gained experiences, observations to the following volunteers by organizing various EVS INFORMING and DISSEMINATING meetings and projects. Additionally, it is one of the main parts of our mission to provide diffusion of EUROPEAN VOLUNTEER SERVICE, VOLUNTEERING CONSCIOUSNESS, YOUTH MOBILITY and NON-FORMAL EDUCATION to wherever we can reach. As TREX we consider the below written values in each work we do and in our projects as a point of perspective: • Volunteering • Social responsibility • Ethical understanding • Sharing • Inclusion of young people to any kind of decision making process and to social life. • Cultural diversity • Participation • Entrepreneurship TREX is also a member of Network of Ex-EVS Associations (NEVA)
