The School of Advanced Training for the Third Sector was created through the support of the Foundation Monte dei Paschi di Siena, the Provincial Administration of Siena, and Ce.S.Vo.T. (Volunteer Service Center of Tuscany). The school is aimed at directors, managers, volunteers, and operators in the Third Sector. The objective is to offer qualified, advanced training, grounded in knowledge and skills specific to the Third Sector and social enterprise, not only in the field of social professions, but also in all other professions connected to the Third Sector, to consortiums, and to the for-profit and non – profit fields. The strategic elements of the school are the recognition and constant monitoring of instructional offerings and the identification of the current and future needs of the Third Sector in terms of competencies and professional profiles. The Siena School of Advanced Training for the Third Sector aims to be the place in which the Third Sector, Public Administration, the academic/scientific community, and the business world meet and reflect together on shared projects, goals, and proposals. Thanks to the Foundation ForTeS: School of Advanced Training for the Third Sector, Italy has an enriched Third Sector panorama, an additional opportunity to build bridges among people, organizations, and communities, with the goal to build excellence through dialogue. The key people involved in the project have a long experience in training, based on specific knowledge and skills for the third sector and social enterprise, with a specific target composed of educators, volunteers, administrators, and officials of the Third Sector.
