Management International, currently owned by the ICO, and founded in 1972, is a Management, Language and Professional training organisation, providing a highly professional range of services to participant from both home and overseas. MI is based in London with sister schools in Bournemouth, Canterbury and Sheffield where any of the courses provided can take place. MI is a non-profit making and aim to equip individuals with the relevant business and life skills to make tangible contributions to their communities. Every programme we offer is underpinned by practical, business-driven research, which ensures that we are providing job oriented courses. Our participants are drawn from a plethora of locations including companies and educational institutions, ranging from senior and middle management to technical and secretarial staff, as well as international students. The Management International School was founded in 2005, growing out of Management International. The School delivered its first degree programmes in 2006 and provided training for some 100 undergraduates and graduates each year. The school has trained people from a majority of members of the European Union but has also been involved in two large scale European Union funded consultancies. In addition, The School in particular have helped to create www.ecollege.it, this involved drafting assessment scales for modules and setting credit levels which are very much part of this application under consideration. The Management International School has also participated in a second consultancy project which involved setting assessment levels to allow young unemployed people to assess their language needs for employment.
