The County Centre for Resources and Educational Assistance (CJRAE) was founded in 2007. This educational institution is subordinate to the Ministry of National Education and coordinated by the Arad County School Inspectorate. The most important services we provide are: school counselling, career guidance, information and counselling (for children, parents, teachers, community members), educational counselling, speech and language therapy, school guidance and special educational needs evaluation services, development level assessment, psychosomatic evaluation (for children’s matriculation in the preparatory grade), training courses dedicated to teachers. At the moment, there is a network of 22 offices for speech and language therapy and 36 offices for psychological and pedagogical assistance. We are an organization based on trust and respect for the child / young person, self-respect and respect of the school, tolerance and equality, constructive approach, creativity. The role of our institution is to support students, parents, teachers and other community members in building a quality life based on education that leads to the valorisation and stimulation of each individual to develop their own potential. We also promote the development of intercultural competences of children and adults, educational partnerships, inter-institutional communication and community involvement in education. CJRAE aims to become an active resource in the community, involved with other partners in the effort to support the student in the process of becoming prepared for their future. Through its projects, studies, resources, CJRAE aims to provide efficient educational alternatives for the decision-making factors: Arad County Council, our School Inspectorate, for teachers, for organisations with educational concerns (governmental and NGO). The County Centre for Resources and Educational Assistance aims at orienting towards excellence, where learning is directed toward solving emerging problems, using experience, continuously improving skills, where each specialist has its own development process, giving others time to learn how to work together, where information is available to everyone, feed-back is a principle of every action, where each member feels responsible for the joint result and strives to achieve the set goals. The values we follow are professionalism, quality, competence, responsibility, teamwork, empathy, communication, creativity, receptiveness to the educational needs of the community, multicultural opening, tolerance, balance, continuous professional development. To fulfill the mission of our institution, CJRAE takes into account several directions: • Contribution to the development of Arad’s teaching, as required by modern applied methodologies, in an European context, in order to facilitate inclusion by offering equal chances for all children, parents, teachers, community members beneficiaries of all the activities (educational services, speech therapy services and psycho-pedagogical services) for each member of the community • Keeping high standards of psycho-pedagogical assistance • Insuring an European dimension for education • Permanent development of the material base • Improvement of the educational offer, as we are a resources centre
