Multidisciplinary Initiatives Association (AIM) is a non-profit organization founded in November 2017 to answer the need for developing individual mental health in the community. Our mission supports the idea that health includes mental health. Therefore we aim to stimulate the community potential in order to develop a health system that openly addresses emotional development and well-being. Our vision relates to a world where every individual is correctly informed about emotional development, finds and accesses the necessary resources, both inner and in the community to overcome any hardships he/she may face. We believe in empowering the individual and nurturing a community that can act as a healthy support system. In this sense, we develop prevention and psychoeducation services in relation to mental health, anti-stigma events, as well as support groups for family members of people who suffer from mental health issues. We embrace working at the crossroads of different domains (eg. psychology, neuroscience, culture, education, social services, IT) because it helps us gain a broader view in our process of developing mental health services and tailor them to our beneficiaries needs. We value evidence-based programs and are always open for exchange of knowledge and good practices.
