Associació cultural Ull per Ull aims to contribute at the development of the investigation, pedagogy and divulgation of contemporary culture in all its creative disciplines (visual arts, photography, poetry, scenic and performative arts etc.) In other words, every materialized or dematerialized cultural production that conforms to the fundamental characteristics of human nature: Creation of knowledge and communication. We want to gather any cultural worker, author or cultural enthusiast that shares a horizontal view and democracy of art and knowledge. - To promote a better support and institutional presence that aids at the social visibility and access of contemporary creation. - To establish and sustain relations with other organisms and similar institutions, national or international, in order to achieve a better articulation and enhancement of our purposes and activities. Thus the geographical scope of our activity is local, national and international. - To find creative formula, especially at social level, to reduce gentrification in arts, knowledge and culture in general. - To Promote citizen participation of all social backgrounds and ages in the world of culture and creation as means of social inclusion and participation. To achieve our purposes, Ull per Ull develop the following activities: Organize gatherings, exchanges, workshops, trainings and seminars between creatives from various contexts and disciplines. Celebrate festivals, talks and exhibitions with informative character to facilitate a better social knowledge of culture and contemporary creation. Associació cultural Ull per Ull is house of the International Contemporary Photography Festival LA NUU held every Fall in Rubí, Barcelona. La Nuu is a small format but big scale festival dedicated to bring the Art & Narrative Photography to a wider audience, aimed at breaking the so often endogamic circle of photography by opening up the "Photoland" doors to everybody, and celebrating its fifth edition this year. Focusing on the quality of the works presented, La Nuu has a popular character based on the citizen participation, which is why we bring the exhibitions back to the streets, where everybody can engage with during the month the festival takes place. The idea is that we dress up the city by installing large-format photographs in public spaces such are facades of residential buildings and public facilities that has a great visibility on the city landscape.
