Fenntarthatóbb es Élhetőbb Jövőért Egyesület (Association for a More Sustainable and Livable Future) was established in 2022. The Association is a new NGO, but it is committed to achieving its goals. The association was created to help possible solution to environmental and nature conservation problems, including energy and water consumption, gender equality, etc. The aim of the association is to help to make the environment cleaner and healthier, to provide environmental education, to organise lectures, to prepare educational materials, to hold training courses, to organise practical sessions, camps, to participate in scientific research, to support other civil activities in accordance with its aims, and to build international relations. The most crucial objective is to substantiate the children’s perspectives (including kindergartners, primary schools, and secondary schools) and adults. Our association implements different activities that foster environmentally conscious thinking. The association provides practical support to environment-friendly policies and initiatives by carrying out activities focused on protecting the environment. We place a strong emphasis on improving the environmental culture of young adults and adults, seniors. The association aims to actively participate in the following activities: • Awareness-raising: promoting environmental education, finding solutions to local environmental problems, holding events on the topic; promoting the circular economy model, educating and promoting sustainable lifestyles; • Child and youth protection: youth support, child and youth advocacy, community and capacity building; • Cultural activities: community building, supporting local communities, promoting cultural values, organising community events; • Scientific activity, research; • Training, workshops, camps for children and adults on sustainability issues; • Social awareness raising, promotion of digitalisation, IT literacy among the population; - Development of educational materials in line with the Association's objectives and activities; - Developing international s, networking and participation in international competitions; - Promoting social equality for disadvantaged groups The association is an associated partner of Kaán Károly Environmental Association and actively participated in the following Erasmus projects: 2020-1-CZ01-KA227-SCH-094292 ECOART and 2022-1-DE04-KA220-YOU- - Youth Participation for Developing Sustainable Green Cities. The association has good cooperation with University of Pannonia Nagykanizsa - University Center for Circular Economy in more projects, and municipalities in the Zala county of Hungary. Key persons: Ms Nikolett Simon economist, Sustainable Development Specialist and has over 12 years of experience in preparing and implementing EU-funded international cooperation projects. In the framework of projects like LENA or FRESH AIR (Austria-Hungary Cross-border Cooperation Programme), she was in charge of organizing a wide range of outdoor educational activities in both countries (Austria and Hungary): excursions in nature with educational purposes, competitions, conferences and presentations related to topics such as the environment and sustainability. She also coordinated informal training for school teachers such as the so-called Train the Trainer Programme. Furthermore, Ms Simon has participated as a speaker in numerous sustainability-related events. She manages as an external expert more Erasmus projects and actively participates in development of training materials as well. Currently, she works on several transnational projects focused on promoting Millennium Development Goals, energy efficiency, renewable energy, circular economy, training development related to the smart cities with associations and University of Pannonia Nagykanizsa.
