Our work explores the intersection of Artificial Intelligence, Mental Health, and Ethical Technology. iBonis European Research Projects S.L. is a research-focused SME whose activities span four core domains: Digital Transformation, Global Goals as framed by the Sustainable Development Goals, Society, and Health. The organization articulates a sustained commitment to the advancement of Mental Health, grounded in scientific rigor, methodological robustness, and the responsible use of digital technologies (Ethical Tech). Its portfolio of initiatives prioritizes the design and evaluation of AI-enabled interventions and advanced data-analytic frameworks aimed at fostering individual well-being and generating empirically informed insights into social and health-related behavioural patterns across diverse population groups. Headquartered in Sant Cugat del Vallès, near Barcelona (Spain), the company’s primary mission is to design and develop technological tools that foster the welfare and holistic development of individuals, thereby contributing to the advancement of European and international societies. In pursuit of this aim, the organization provides social actors with evidence-based learning resources and knowledge management systems focused on mental health, wellbeing, personal empowerment, and the integration of sustainable practices aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the 2030 Agenda. At the same time, the company maintains alignment with several key programs supported by the European Union, such as Erasmus+, AMIF, the Green Deal, and thematic areas including Inclusive, Innovative and Reflective Societies, Health, Demographic Change and Wellbeing, and Science with and for Society. With the launch of Horizon Europe, Ibonis European Research Projects has expanded its involvement across the following clusters: ● Health ● Culture, creativity and inclusive society ● Civil Security for Society ● Digital, Industry and Space ● Climate, Energy and Mobility ● Food, Bioeconomy, Natural Resources, Agriculture and Environment Our team is composed of experienced specialists in fields such as information technology, ethical technology, physics, psychology, psychiatry, neurology, sociology, and academic research. We recognize that new societal challenges—particularly in Europe—are emerging and may pose significant threats to mental health. These challenges often affect vulnerable groups such as adolescents, older adults, refugees, and individuals at risk of social exclusion, as well as European citizens more broadly in the aftermath of the pandemic. Our research focuses on developing new methods for the early detection of these threats and designing resources to better understand and address them. Finally, we recognize the importance of knowledge transfer and collaboration in research and development with other SMEs, non-profit organizations, research and technology centers, think tanks in healthcare, and educational institutions. Therefore, iBonis European Research Projects S.L. actively participates as a partner in several clusters and technological networks, including CLIMATE 2030, SOCIAL CHALLENGES, NDSAN, EHMA, Net4Society, and EEN.
