Associação PRO BONO

PRO BONO Portugal is an Association, counting with the participation of lawyers, as well as volunteer law students, aiming to promote social responsibility in the world of law. PRO BONO Association aims to contribute to the resolution of legal problems of people in need and the social solidarity institutions that support them. The project was recognized as an IPSS in September 2014 and, since then, has been growing consistently, having received the BIS Award in 2014 and the CML Municipal Volunteering Award in 2016. For this purpose, we list some of the significant goals of our project, as a presentation of our work in recent years: More than 1400 students who have already signed up for PRO BONO as volunteers since our creation; More than 200 volunteer lawyers; 7 law firms as our partners; More than 250 law student who participate in our different cases; 5 partner Law Faculties; More than 120 supported Social Solidarity Institutions; 9 student volunteers members of "Núcleo Duro" (administrative and strategic core); We receive problems from beneficiaries of partner institutions of the most diverse nature, namely: (i) civil and criminal litigation; (ii) family; (iii) fundamental rights; (iv) amongst others.
