Public Research Foundation

The Public Research Foundation (Kamu Araştırmaları Vakfı - KAV), headquartered in Ankara, established on 1 December 1995 as a non-governmental and non-profit foundation. The Foundation carries out activities on social and political problems across the country and the problems related to the public bodies to contribute to solving these problems. KAV, which carries out activities to produce solutions to various public problems in the fields of youth, education, environment, women rights, human rights, cultural differences, health, science and technology, policy and rural development; develops cooperation with public institutions, institutional projects, training activities, seminars, conferences and events, academic and social research activities and projects for international funds and grants. The research activities in KAV are carried out by the Social Structure and Development Directorate, the Public Administration and Local Authorities Directorate, the Science and Technology Directorate, the Economy and Employment Directorate and the Sustainability, Environment and Quality Directorate. The purpose of the foundation is In the process of rapid economic and social change in our country, in order to adapt to the developing world conditions, to contribute to the balanced development of our country with its existing natural, economic and human resources in connection with the basic historical, social and cultural values ​​it has for our people; - To identify the bottlenecks that the whole society and the public sector face in our country in terms of history, social, economic and cultural aspects, to reveal the problem areas related to them, to inform the public, the public and the relevant public authorities on the current problems and the solutions related to them. - To contribute to raising healthy, balanced and cultured generations that will be the guarantee of the future within the framework of the historical and social heritage and cultural values ​​of our country. - To carry out research on overcoming the political, economic and administrative bottlenecks faced by the society and especially the public sector, and to find suitable solutions among the potential opportunities to overcome the existing problems, to make a rational evaluation of the economic and social tools that our country has collectively and individually, and to mobilize potential resources. To offer solutions for improving the public administration and accelerating the overall development by means of KAV also organizes educational seminars and nationwide conferences on public policy issues, and discussion meetings that bring together experts in the fields of health, tourism, environment, politics, rural development, and science and technology. Research, symposium, congress, joint project and publication activities are carried out with various public institutions and non-governmental organizations. In addition to these, university students are provided with scholarships and counseling at undergraduate and graduate levels, and guidance studies are carried out on books and research. Finally, the Public Research Foundation has formed project teams in many areas that concern the country's agenda, especially on human rights, public health, science and technology, and carries out project studies with these teams to solve current problems
