Instytut Przeciwdziałania Wykluczeniom

We are a young organisation, established in August 2021. Before we decided to act as a Foundation, however, we ran many educational, social and scientific projects. We organised scientific conferences on feminist theories and theories of the excluded and workshops for students on global education, intercultural education, preventing exclusion, racism and xenophobia. We collaborated with the Local Group of Amnesty International Toruń and the Youth Human Impact association. We want to develop and gain experience. We want to raise funds for the Foundation's activities. However, we know that networking is essential and crucial; thus, we want to be partners in other projects to grow as an organisation. The Institute for Prevention of Exclusions Foundation aims for social and educational activity in counteracting the social exclusion of marginalised and discriminated people in society. The Foundation also conducts research, advisory and expert activities, cooperating with public institutions and organisations of a similar profile, as well as with research units and academic centres. The Foundation's activities involve spreading knowledge about the marginalisation and exclusion caused by gender identity, psychosexual orientation, skin colour, ethnic origin, disability, lack of access to education and knowledge, transport exclusion, socio-economic situation and other important factors. The flagship mission of the Foundation is to react against exclusion and support the excluded and discriminated people, as well as help them function in harmony with each other and their environment and surroundings. In addition, the Foundation aims to create safe spaces for discriminated, excluded and marginalised people and to increase the tolerance of society and local communities to what is often perceived as different and strange. Finally, the Foundation’s goal is to create an inclusive society where everyone can feel safe and at home.
