Ludza Children and Youth Center is located in a small town of Latvia. The center was established on January 1, 1956, and its purpose is to offer interest-based education for children and young people up to the age of 25. The main tasks of the center include the implementation of interest education, providing children and young people with the opportunity to acquire knowledge and skills useful for active participation in public life, the development of their talents in the creative industry, their improvement and development, as well as the improvement of teachers' pedagogical competences. Our educators give great importance to moral values, mutual respect and understanding of ethnic and cultural values in group and extracurricular activities. Our mission is the comprehensive, harmonious personality development of children and young people and the growth of competencies in people and its surroundings, using work methods appropriate for working with young people (including informal methods). The center currently conducts dance, photography, arts and crafts, music, theater, environmental education, sports (motorcycle and bicycle) and electronics classes.
