E-graine Nouvelle-Aquitaine

E-graine Nouvelle Aquitaine is an association for Global Citizenship Education (a concept developed by UNESCO) which was created in 2016. It is part of a national movement called E-graine alongside 6 regional associations sharing the same associative project. E-graine's project is also in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the association's project also gives a special place to citizen mobilisation through "active pedagogy". E-graine is an informal education movement made up of volunteers and professionals, grouped within local associations. Since its creation in 2006, E-graine has been designing and implementing original and impactful educational actions, articulated around the main current societal challenges (Sustainable Development Goals, active citizenship and empowerment, global citizenship). From awareness-raising actions to trainings, we inspire people to take action in favor of a united and responsible world. We aspire to be weavers of links between knowledge, actors in society, and thus companions of citizen commitment towards more united and responsible territories! Objective: To mobilise citizens to reflect together on the world in which we live and to become actors in the transition to sustainable development, individually and collectively. Main focus: - Inform, raise awareness and involve citizens to enable a sustainable ecological and social transition - To help citizen to connect with each other and take part in the society - Global Citizenship Education, and more specifically Migratory Politics Target audience : public from all ages, gender, origin.. -> at the scale of their neighborhood, their city, their region, their country and the planet = local, regional, national, and global. Activities: - Pedagogical engineering - Creation of pedagogical projects in cooperation with partners (schools, universities, institutions, non-governmental organizations, etc.) These educational interventions take different forms: from the event stand; to the awareness-raising workshop or to the educational course; etc.... Educational approach: - Support citizens to commit to a more united and responsible world - from raising awareness by becoming an active actor - Explore the issues and impacts at the local and global level and develop a critical mind (psychosocial skills) Ambitions: To be able to mobilise people at different levels: - Individual: to encourage individuals to reflect on the impact of their personal choices and actions in order to raise awareness. - Interpersonal relationships: to strengthen the psychosocial skills of each person and thus promote mutual understanding and empathy, which are the cornerstones of sustainable living and solidarity. - Collective: to encourage mobilisation and citizen participation in order to bring awareness about change in societies, institutions and political systems at local, national and international levels. Interesting projects topics: psychosocial skills, youth mental health, youth engagement, sustainable development awareness, migration, youth support, social and solidarity economy - we are also open for other suggestions!
