Four major objectives Enhancing education The education system changes constantly. It never stays in one place because of new technologies and innovative learning techniques that move it forward.Callidus is here to help its clients understand that a high-quality education is all about outcomes. An outcome refers to the culminating demonstration of the learning process. It is a result of learning that is a visible demonstration of three major things — knowledge, competence, and orientations. Inclusive education Inclusive learning environments provide students with and without disabilities many opportunities to establish relationships with their peers. These relationships form the beginnings of friendships that are a source of fun and enjoyment, and an essential source of emotional support during challenging times. In inclusive schools, resources and educators can be leveraged to create more effective and efficient learning opportunities for all students. Callidus is here to help teachers become inclusive school specialists. Environmental sustainability In a globalizing world of limited resources and unlimited ingenuity, Callidus helps young learners and youth to face and embrace the sustainability challenges of the future. Providing appropriate teaching techniques and complete educational curricula regarding sustainability, Callidus focuses on teaching about it via working on future-oriented projects. These projects are meant to alleviate feelings of overload among youth. More importantly, they can provide moments of problem-solving, debate, analysis, teamwork, and reflection that are so crucial to developing the critical thinking and leadership skills students need in order to face complex problems. Training and Internship in Education Callidus provides a complete mentorship program for students including a detailed tour along the Curricula for Primary and Secondary Education. Internship of young teachers is monitored, supported and assessed. Contemporary teaching strategies are offered during their continual mentorship. Following the up-to-date teaching approaches worldwide, Callidus assists in scientific research regarding inclusive education and enhances its methodologies by attending conferences and workshops worldwide. The professional development of teachers is the crucial driver in recruitment, staff development, retention, school improvement and student well-being. Mission The mission of Association Callidus is Create with the heart; build with the mind. Vision The vision of Association Callidus is You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have. Core principles and priorities Callidus is an association dedicated to fostering collaboration, creativity and skills! In whatever activity we carry out, we follow our 4 core principles: 1) dedication – meaning that we give our 100% and more; 2) openness – we work with – and for the public; 3) positivity – we see opportunities rather than problems; and 4) enthusiasm – we want to change our surroundings for the better. These four principles lead to its priorities: I. Training In many countries, the role and functioning of schools are changing and so is what is expected of teachers. Teachers are asked to teach in increasingly multicultural classrooms; to place greater emphasis on integrating students with special learning needs in their classrooms; to make more effective use of information and communication technologies for teaching; to engage more in planning within evaluative and accountability frameworks; and to do more to involve parents in schools. No matter how good pre-service training for teachers is, it cannot be expected to prepare teachers for all the challenges they will face throughout their careers. Therefore we seek to provide teachers with opportunities for in-service professional development in order to maintain a high standard of teaching and to retain a high-quality teacher workforce. 1.
