Memento mortis

Memento Mortis is a non profit cultural organization based in Heraklion, Crete, focused on experimental performance, storytelling, and filmmaking. We explore themes such as memory, identity, and collective experience through immersive projects that blend art, technology, and social engagement. We empower youth and marginalized communities through creative writing, sound, movement, and audiovisual media—promoting inclusion, critical thinking, and emotional expression. Our participatory workshops and performances foster intercultural dialogue and support personal and collective transformation. We actively participate in EU-funded projects, including Erasmus+ KA2 (e.g. D'ARTIDE – Digital Art for Inclusion) and are open to collaborations in Erasmus+ Youth, European Solidarity Corps, CERV, and Creative Europe. We are particularly interested in projects that combine non-formal education with innovative artistic practices and digital tools. Memento Mortis is seeking partners and consortia working at the intersection of art, education, and social change—especially those eager to co-create inclusive and future-oriented experiences.
