MUNICIPALITY OF CENTO (COMUNE DI CENTO)

Cento has a strategic geographic position, being almost equidistant by three important cities of the area as Bologna, Modena and Ferrara. Has a population of 35,830 inhabitants and is well known for its historical Carnival, dating back to 1600, and for the painting of the local Baroque painter called "Guercino", capable to attract every year in the city thousands of visitors from all over the world. In the last years, the Municipality of Cento has shown a strong interest towards the European funds, acquiring experience in the projects writing and management, working side by side with national and international partners, thanks to the establishment and stabilization of a specific department dedicated to the design, development and implementation of European and national projects. The Municipality of Cento has demonstrated to be a quality and reliable partner, working on projects funded by different European programmes as Erasmus+ developing a structured network of partners and stakeholders. Moreover, the Municipality of Cento results to be involved in the topics of youth mobility and youth professional formation and can take advantage from the skills and expertise acquired thanks to the long-time work of "InformaGiovani", an office composed by specialized staff able to provide different services to the territory's youths. This office has become a landmark for the entire region, since that more than 3000 youths coming from the provinces of Modena, Bologna and Ferrara resort to its services.
