Projekt Građanske Demokratske Inicijative- PGDI

**Projekt građanske demokratske inicijative (P.G.D.I.)** is a non-governmental organisation based in Beli Manastir, Croatia, working with young people and local communities, with a strong focus on social inclusion, active citizenship and empowerment of young people with fewer opportunities. Our youth work is based on non-formal education, participatory methods and learning through experience. We organise workshops, educational programmes, community activities, youth events and initiatives that encourage young people to develop personal and social competences, take an active role in their communities and become more confident in expressing their ideas and needs. A significant part of our work focuses on young people facing social and economic disadvantages and other barriers to participation. We provide a safe and supportive environment in which young people can develop independence, life skills, employability, communication and decision-making skills. P.G.D.I. also works on social inclusion and support for young people transitioning to independent living after leaving the care system. Through our residential community, we support young people in developing everyday life skills, autonomy, responsibility and active participation in the community. We have experience in organising local and international youth activities and are interested in European cooperation, peer learning, staff development and the exchange of good practices in youth work. We are particularly interested in partnerships focused on inclusion, youth participation, active citizenship, empowerment, independent living and innovative approaches to working with young people with fewer opportunities.
