O’Formations & Conseils O’Formations & Conseils is a non-profit association based in Redon, Brittany, France, committed to making education and training powerful tools for social inclusion, empowerment and active citizenship. Our organisation works at the intersection of education and training, youth support, social and professional inclusion, and educational research. We mainly work with young people and adults who face difficulties in accessing education, training or employment, with a particular focus on NEETs (young people who are not in employment, education or training) and people with non-traditional or fragile educational and professional pathways. We strongly believe that every learner has their own potential, skills and personal story. Our role is therefore not simply to transmit knowledge, but to create the conditions that enable people to regain confidence, develop their abilities, become more autonomous and take ownership of their own learning and life paths. We therefore favour learner-centred, inclusive, experiential and active learning approaches, adapted to each person’s needs, realities and aspirations. Our experience working with NEETs has shown us that traditional training approaches are not always sufficient for young people who have experienced school failure, early school leaving or different forms of exclusion. We therefore experiment with alternative learning methods: learning by doing, peer learning, project-based learning, collective intelligence, creative and visual methods, digital tools, the development of psychosocial skills, and learning environments that connect education and training with real-life situations. Our aim is to build bridges between young people, learning, employment and active citizenship. An essential part of our identity is our commitment to educational research and innovation. We constantly reflect on our practices, experiment with new educational approaches and seek to understand what genuinely enables learners to engage, learn and progress. For us, innovation is not about using new tools for their own sake; it is about finding more relevant, inclusive and empowering ways of supporting people. Our work therefore combines practical field experience with a strong willingness to research, experiment, evaluate and share new practices. We also train and support professionals working with young people, particularly in the fields of youth work, socio-educational support, sport and local development. Through these activities, we aim to strengthen professionals’ ability to understand their target groups, adapt their practices and create more inclusive learning environments. Our training activities cover topics such as psychosocial skills, mental health, accessibility, graphic facilitation and innovative educational practices. Our local roots are essential to our work. We cooperate closely with local associations, youth professionals, social and socio-cultural organisations, training providers and other stakeholders within the local community. This strong territorial connection enables us to identify emerging needs and directly experiment with new solutions in the field. At the same time, our involvement in European cooperation allows us to compare our practices with those of other territories, learn from different contexts and share our own experience. We see European cooperation as a genuine laboratory for learning and transformation. Through Erasmus+ and the SALTO-YOUTH networks, we are particularly interested in developing and sharing innovative approaches to the inclusion of NEETs, youth participation, employability, active citizenship, learner empowerment and new forms of pedagogy. Our ambition is simple but demanding: to contribute to building educational pathways in which no young person is considered “lost”, and in which learning becomes a source of self-confidence, empowerment and participation in social life. We are therefore looking to cooperate with European partners who share our commitment to inclusive education, social innovation, youth empowerment and the continuous improvement of educational practices.
