Asociația Ora lui Robert (Robert’s Hour Association) is a youth-focused non-profit organisation based in Timișoara, Romania, established in 2022 by young people who wanted to create meaningful educational and social opportunities for children and youth, particularly those facing fewer opportunities. Our mission is to empower young people through non-formal education, social inclusion, personal development, volunteering and active participation, helping them build confidence, develop practical competences and become more engaged in their communities. We believe that every young person should have access to supportive learning environments where their voice is heard, their potential is recognised and they are encouraged to take an active role in shaping their future. A significant part of our work focuses on young people and children from disadvantaged backgrounds, family-type homes and vulnerable communities. Through educational workshops, mentoring, personal development activities, cultural and community events, volunteering initiatives and social support, we work to reduce barriers to participation and create opportunities for learning, connection and personal growth. Since our establishment, we have developed a strong local network involving young people, volunteers, youth workers, educators, psychologists, trainers, mentors, local institutions, schools, businesses and community stakeholders. Our activities combine non-formal learning with practical experiences and are designed to encourage confidence, resilience, teamwork, creativity, intercultural understanding and community involvement. In 2025 alone, our organisation delivered more than 150 hours of interactive workshops, cultural activities and learning experiences, reaching approximately 150 children and young people. We also coordinated around 100 volunteers, together with mentors, trainers and psychologists. Our previous initiatives have included educational activities, personal development, mentoring, sports and recreational activities, robotics and reading sessions, school support and activities involving institutionalised children and Ukrainian refugee youth. At European level, we are interested in developing high-quality cooperation within Erasmus+ Youth, particularly through Youth Exchanges, mobility activities for youth workers, training courses and other international learning opportunities. We see European mobility as an important instrument for connecting young people from different realities, exchanging good practices and developing competences that can later generate impact in local communities. Our areas of interest include social inclusion and diversity, digital skills and digital youth work, media literacy, responsible use of technology and AI, employability, entrepreneurship, wellbeing, environmental awareness, active citizenship, European values, intercultural learning and innovative non-formal education methods. We are particularly interested in partnerships with organisations that believe in active participation, inclusion, quality non-formal learning and meaningful follow-up after international mobility. We value partnerships in which organisations contribute actively to project preparation, participant selection and preparation, implementation, dissemination and local multiplication of results. Our multidisciplinary team brings together experience in project management, youth and community initiatives, psychology and counselling, non-formal education, strategic communication, legal affairs, child protection and dissemination. This diversity allows us to approach youth projects from both an educational and organisational perspective and to provide appropriate support to participants with different needs. For Asociația Ora lui Robert, international cooperation is not simply about participating in individual mobilities. We aim to build reliable, long-term European partnerships through which organisations and young people can learn from one another, develop new educational approaches and create sustainable impact in their communities. We are open to new Erasmus+ partnerships, both as a coordinating and partner organisation, and we welcome cooperation with organisations that share our commitment to inclusion, youth empowerment and quality non-formal education.
