BGC Jane and Finch

BGC Jane and Finch Club is a youth-serving organization based in Toronto, Canada, part of the national BGC Canada network (formerly Boys & Girls Clubs). We provide free, accessible programming for preteens and youth in the Jane and Finch community — one of Toronto's most diverse, vibrant, and historically underserved neighbourhoods, home to large African, Caribbean, and newcomer populations. Our mission is to create safe, inclusive spaces where young people can learn, grow, connect, and reach their full potential. We deliver a wide range of programs spanning sports and recreation, arts and music, coding and technology, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, chess, cooking, debate, and cultural and heritage learning. Everything we run is grounded in youth development — building confidence, leadership, critical thinking, and a strong sense of belonging. We are a new and growing team building our programming from the ground up, with a long-term vision of connecting our youth to the wider world. We are especially interested in cultural exchange and heritage-learning experiences that would allow our young people to build friendships across borders, explore their roots, and gain global perspective — opportunities many of them would not otherwise have access to. Through Otlas, we hope to connect with European youth organizations interested in cultural exchange, mutual learning, and youth-led collaboration. We bring a rich, multicultural community, dedicated staff, and genuine enthusiasm for partnership, and we look forward to building meaningful relationships with organizations that share our commitment to empowering young people.
