We have been operating as an informal group since 2007, with main aim to contribute to the sensitization of our local community about current social issues, cultivating and promoting the values of social solidarity and active citizenship. We were established as a NPO in January 2013 with specific aims to work on and promote: - voluntarism, social work and active participation - social solidarity and tolerance - humanism and human rights - ecological awareness - media literacy Our activities consist mainly of: 1. Informative and awareness raising events. We have organized events about smoking and work orientation for teenagers that live in orphanages in our city and at organizing a self-expression workshop for a group of teenagers that live in an orphanage. 2. Media Literacy workshops on local and international level. We are especially interested in the field of Media Literacy for teenagers, and have taken part and organized workshops and events. We are part of the European Youth4Media Network 3. Civil Media Production (promoting current social issues) Our members are all experienced in youth work, not only through our own actions, but also as volunteers and youth workers for other NGO’s in our city. We have cooperated with other NGO’s both in local and international level, and also with the local and national authorities.
