As a sport team (AMERICA'S CUP TEAM - INTERNATIONAL PROFESSIONAL SAILING TEAM - www.americascup.com ) it has achieved the highest level in sailing and has won ORACLE TEAM USA (current holder of the America's Cup). It is part of an international organization (Foreign Branch corporation) with CSR programs focusing in competitive sailing. GREEK CHALLENGE has developed special know how on coastal and maritime tourism due to its participation and of organizing technology driven regattas (such as the America's Cup) and has been sharing its expertise with stakeholders globally as well the European Commission which supports our actions. In 2012 entered in Strategic Partnership with the University of the Aegean for the establishment of a Sailing Academy in order to enhance sailing, youth participation, hosting of international sailing regattas making the Aegean Sea / Region a global sailing center with tremendous economic impact. Background: Started operations in 1993 in Canada as a systems integrator, computer hardware distributor and shortly after became part of the Bell Family of companies by developing a telecommunication division specifically cellular and paging. During our continuous relationship with Bell Canada – Bell Mobility, we developed major events such as “The Molson Indy” (Formula Racing), “Taste of the Danforth” (The largest Hellenic festival in the World) by sponsoring them and becoming technology partners. Subsequently, expanded its operations in Europe by opening a subsidiary in Greece (August 2002) and was awarded the rights by COC, IOC and ATHOC to distribute and promote the Athens 2004 Official Licensed products in Canada for the first time in Canadian Olympic Sports history. In 2005 entered the America’s Cup on a sporting and commercial level. Created GREEK CHALLENGE the first ever America's Cup team from Greece and participated in the Louis Vuitton Pacific Series IN 2009. AC teams are similar to F1 teams in expertise, structure and use similar technology to achieve top speeds. Our team when is competing for the America's Cup reaches 90 employees.
