Link in de Kabel VZW

'Link in de kabel' is a flemish organization who works on digital themes. The main target of the organization are youngsters with fewer opportunities. (underprivileged, immigrants, youthwelfare, disabled,...) We fight against digital divide. We guide and support childeren and youngster in their development of competences related to media literacy. To do this : - We have an open center where every child/youngster is welcome to use our digital facilities (computers, tablet, gaming consoles,..). The youngsters are guided by a fellow worker of 'Link in de Kabel'. - We organize weekly activities in different local organizations where we work with a small group of children/youngsters around digital themes. For all those activities we search for new innovative and playfull methods. - We regulary launch new projects that go more deeply into a specific issue (residential living, disciplinary actions,...) or start from a particular principle (creating art with a social purpose using digital tools, digital urban gaming, ...)
