Associação Viver Telheiras - Centro de Convergência de Telheiras

Associação Viver Telheiras – Centro de Convergência de Telheiras is a non-profit, non-governmental organization born 2013, which facilitates community dynamics in the neighborhood of Telheiras, in Lisbon, interconnecting local population, institutions and economic activities’ interests and needs. Our regular activities and action are divided in several (interconnected) projects such as: - “Parceria Local de Telheiras” (Local Partnership) is a community network that encompasses 25 institutions (non-profits, local authorities and privately owned socially oriented institutions), who work together by sharing information, developing new projects together and organizing events; - “Viver Telheiras” (Living Telheiras) is a web-based communication platform, composed of a website, facebook page, Instagram page and newsletter in which news about the neighborhood are shared with the population; and - “Telheiras Sustentável” (Sustainable Telheiras) is a work group, with 25+ members (both from the general population and representatives from institutions belonging to Parceria Local de Telheiras) that is dedicated to implementing activities that promote sustainability in the neighbourhood. All these activities and projects are aimed at achieving a better overall quality of life of tour main target group, the local population of Telheiras's neighborhood.
