The Evangelische Schulverein Niesky / Görlitz e.V. operates two independent schools and an after-school care center in Görlitz, Germany's easternmost city: At the Dietrich-Heise-Schule, a primary school, children learn at the age of 6-10, at the secondary school from 10-18 years. The pedagogical orientation is christian, reform pedagogical, cross-border and inclusive. In addition to the lessons, which contain many elements of free work, workshop lessons and Montessori education, we offer all-day offers: lunch, educational lunch care and various working groups, projects and workshops in the afternoon (art, sports, musicals, etc.). The after-school care center looks after children aged 6-10 years and works with an open educational concept that includes intensive relationship work, educational action and christian aspects. The school association is networked with educational, youth welfare and cultural institutions in Görlitz and in neighboring polish city Zgorzelec. The team is international and multi-professional.
