About Organization
Gimle is Roskilde's regional music venue and youth culture house. Gimle offers Roskilde and the region's residents a wide range of cultural events with quality, content and diversity. At Gimle, the volunteers run the arrangements - both before, during and after the events. More than 300 annual cultural events are held both at Gimle and outside the house. The core is concert operation with annual presentation of more than 300 bands. In addition, Gimle has a café, The Raven, which is open 6 days a week. Gimle is run on the basis of more than 150 volunteers, 12 full time employees (office, kitchen and cleaning), and approx. 30 hourly employees (sound, cleaning and kitchen). Gimle is run by the Gimle Foundation, which takes care of the financial and operational framework, and the Gimle Association, which are responsible of the content of Gimle. The Gimle association consists of the active volunteers and employees at Gimle.
