Kalø Skovbørnehus

Kaloe Skovoernehus is located near the town of Rønde city on the edge of the forest. Kaloe Skovboernehus has up to 65 children (aged 0-6 years old) divided into 4 groups of different age. "Skovsneglene" is for the children from 0 to 2,9 years old "Uglerne" is for the children born in 2017 "Glenterne" is for the children born in 2016 "Laerkerne" is for the children born in 2015 The staff personnel comprise 8 educators and 7 teaching assistant. One cleaning assistant and one office employee. The kindergarten is specialized in daily outdoor living. We believe it is mentally and physically healthy for children to be outdoor for the most of the day. The aim is to stimulate and support children in developing their personality so that they can lead a healthy life now and later. It is important for us that everyone feels as a part of the community. We have focus on each child´s skills and positive aspecs. We belive everybody is good at something. Difference creates variety and challenge. We have focus on developing our potentials, children and adults. The employees should be able to reflect on own being and relations to the child. The kindergarden is independent and has its own elected board - but still assigned to the local authorities responsible for childrens care.
