Casa da Juventude de Guimarães (CJG) is a Youth Association constituted in 2010 by a group of young people with associative experience aiming to support several needs and interests of youngsters, namely with special needs and exclusion risks, through projects and activities addressed to them and also for our community’s development. With the motto of “small gestures, big impacts”, CJG intends to provide to young people non-formal education to promote competences that allows them to better adapt to labor market and to be able to be the protagonists of their own personal development, while promoting their interactions with local, national, and international institutions. We work to promote and stimulate in young people the values of citizenship, solidarity, responsibility, merit, and entrepreneurship. Our actions involve international exchanges and non-formal education activities such as “Employment Area”, “Leisure Occupation”, retreats and volunteerning actions. We run a Social Store (that offers free clothing, shoes and toys) and a School Books Bank where young people are actively involved. CSJ as a strong network of partners at local, national and international levels that supports our activities and the deepening of our interventions.
