About Organization
Kindergarten Sädemeke is an educational institution that provides care for children of preschool age and their pre-school education. The pre-school institution supports the child's family, contributing to the child's growth, development and individuality. At the time of 2020, there are 24 teachers working in the kindergarten Sädemeke, including 4 specialist teachers: a movement teacher, a music teacher, an Estonian language teacher and a speech therapist. Technical staff (24 people) actively helps teachers. The kindergarten successfully employs 10 groups - 4 nursery and 6 garden. From Monday to Friday, 161 children aged 1.5 - 7 years old come to the kindergarten. The kindergarten is located between two of the strongest gymnasiums in the city. Kindergarten is the best support for parents and their children. Skilled and motivated workers find an individual approach to children and provide the best possible conditions for development. The most important values are: co-working, creativity, development, health and integration of Estonian society. The main focus of the kindergarten Sädemeke is the artistic and aesthetic development of children. In addition, the kindergarten has other priority areas: - Project activities; - The development of information technology; - Creating a learning environment that improves your child's health; - Assessing and achieving quality work; - Working with children with special needs; - Working with staff; - Collaboration with parents, schools and other urban institutions. Throughout the school year, the kindergarten hosts many traditional activities and Estonian celebrations. Once a quarter there is a day of sports and health. Weeks of music and art are given special attention. Since 2011, the kindergarten participates in the CLIL-training program, and from 2017 the kindergarten has switched to a partial immersion program.
