About Organization
Fundación Dfa is the most representative Non-Governmental Organisation of Aragon (Spain)in the field of physical disability, as much for the number of members it brings together as for the activities it has been carrying out since 1976. Its social work reaches thousands of people with and without disabilities across a variety of areas such as training, employability, leisure activities, legal advice, physical rehabilitation or the resolution of mobility and communication challenges, among others. Fundación Dfa currently has thousands of members, a staff of 687 workers(the majority of whom are people with disabilities)and a well-established team of volunteers. Its philosophy has remained the same year after year: to move towards the full inclusion of a group of individuals who want to work, study, have fun, communicate and, ultimately, live freely. Objetives: -Social promotion and defense of the rights of people with disabilities -Disability prevention and elimination of the social prejudices that cause the exclusion of this group -Collaboration with public authorities and other social agents regarding the design, monitoring and evaluation of the plans, programmes and services aimed at the group -Promotion, creation and management of centres and services for the comprehensive care of people with disabilities -Defense of a public system with sufficient means for the social protection of people with disabilities.
