About Organization
A museum in Biržai was established in 1928.The museum exhibits artifacts from the following collections: archaeology (Selonian and Semigalian tribes); regional ethnography; history, art and writings of different confessions of Biržai, eras of the dukes Radziwiłł and the counts Tyszkiewich. Several halls display Biržai under the rule of the Russian Empire and Biržai in the early and late 20th century. The arsenal houses a warfare exhibition that focuses on the 17th–18th century armory and smithery. The exhibition also features interactive content. The museum offers guided tours ans numerous educational workshops for schoolchildrens and adults.
