Hellenic Youth Participation is a grassroot NGO based in Athens, created by youth workers who want to support connection, caring and change at local, national and international level. HYP’s pillars are community building, solidarity, empowerment and life-long learning. The main aim of the organization is to inspire and stimulate European citizens to become active parts of their local and European community. Through our projects we aim at the promotion of volunteering, youth activism and the importance of personal development. We offer an open, diverse, multi-layered and curious space where everything is possible in order to raise awareness about the topics that are important in our communities such as art, human rights, personal & professional development, employability skills, democracy, conscious living and environmental awareness. Our motto is get involved, stay active. Hellenic Youth Participation is active in 3 different levels: *International Level -Erasmus +: HYP supports, designs and participates actively in all parts of youth exchanges, training courses, European Solidarity Corps, Capacity Building programs and Strategic Partnerships. -European Solidarity Corps: HYP acts as a hosting, coordinating and sending organisation for volunteering and solidarity projects -International Conferences: HYP supports, designs and participates actively in the World Forum of Democracy (2014-2019) European Youth Event (2014-2020) *National Level Youth exchanges and training courses: HYP co-creates mobilities of young people and youthworkers in rural areas of Greece in order to support equal European opportunities and inspire active participation about the issues that concern the local youth. *Local Level HYP’s priority is to build a community of solidarity, inclusion, growth and connection in Athens. Since 2013, we have created local networks for young people that live in Athens. Our local teams are about -The transition from adolescence to adulthood, formed by teenagers (13-17 years old) -Soft skills and non-formal education, formed by young adults (18-30 years old) -Mnemosine, a journey of self-discovery through art, formed by young women (18-35 years old) -Creativity, a team that explores creativity through a variety of disciplines and methods with the purpose to inspire our skills -People-Places-Partnerships, a team about social change in Athens through local events, formed by young adults (18-30 years old) -Leaders Academy, a team about training youth leaders on how to lead and facilitate learning in non-formal education framework, formed by adults (18+ years old) -Trainers Academy, a team about training teachers, educators, trainers and coaches on the use of non-formal methodology to formal teaching -International Relations, a team about democracy, international politics and conflicts using the non-formal education methodology -Human rights, a team that empower youthworkers, educators and young people to learn more about the human rights and act for their protection -Employability, a team that connects young entrepreneurs, updates the young people about the latest trends, trains their soft skills and supports networking -Environmental awareness, a team that acts locally and digitally to inform the community about the impact of our choices on the environment and create opportunities to act. -Sports, a team that acts in parks and courts to support the connection of the community through traditional games, healthy habits, sports competitions and informal gatherings -Mentors, a team of experienced members who support our ESC projects *Local Events: -Promotion of European mobilities -Workshops: we create a variety of workshops in collaboration with experts -Collaborations: we collaborate with our local stakeholders to create initiatives together and support the local community -Celebrations of world days: HYP organizes trainings to celebrate world days and raise awareness on important topics -Exhibitions: HYP organizes local exhibitio
