Biedriba "Rujienas senioru maja"

A non-governmental organization “Association Rūjienas Senioru Māja'', founded in the year 2011, 22 of February. Society's goal is to activate different aged groups of people and involve personal with specific needs in social activities and organize help between the people independent of there age. Our target audience is anyone in Rujiena region and non-governmental organisation from the North part of Latvia, that actively participating in social activities, improving their knowledge and skills, to achieve common targets. This project will help different aged groups cooperate, as one that will help the other, creating an active and compassionate environment. Our seniors are active and curious. We provide them an active and creative environment by organizing cultural activities and various events. In the organization currently work two organization board members and one day center manager, who provide the organizations core operations, communications with the public and coordinate the volunteers. The organization has experience in dealing with volunteers from Latvia, directly with the residents of Rujienas region. Organized activities are organized with the aim of improving human relations to promote human well-being of old age. It is important for us to allow our seniors to enjoy their life, to learn something new, explore, acquire and improve themselves in different areas. Our society will be targeted at seniors who are lonely and active, but also very sick and lying, therefore we must provide everyone life and activity. Everyone has a need for attention, the ability to listen to seniors and hear them, helping them everyday, as are those with no family or relatives, who could contact them to help. Taking care of them, being in this society, everyone making nice emotions, life experiences and life passage for seniors is becoming brighter. As a coordinating organization we will give opportunities for other organizations in the North regions of Latvia to use EVS, opportunities by sending and by taking on teenagers for their organizations. Participation in EVS projects will provide our organization with great, useful and interesting experiences on EVS activities. Our organization is hosting vounteers starting from 2014.
