About Organization
Charita Vyškov focuses on providing social services to senior people and people with physical or mental disabilities. We operate in Vyškov and surrounding villages. The main aim is to help all the needy regardless of race, nationality, religion or social status. Our social services cover a wide area: - help in everyday life (social and health services) - social inclusion assistance - help for life and dying at home, if possible (eg. home hospice care, personal assistance, etc.) We regularly provide the following activities: - sheltered housing in which 11 lightly mentally disabled adults live in community life - we help them to live a normal life as much as possible. Our employees and volunteers only provide clients with support when they are unable to achieve their goals. - temporary housing for older people who are unable to take care of themselves (the Relief Service) - a house where up to 20 clients can be accommodated - personal assistance for disabled and elderly clients in their homes (day care, personal assistance) - for clients 19 - 99+ years old - assistance to the physically and / or mentally handicapped and mentally ill people in acquiring everyday-life and working habits (Day Service Center) - capacity up to 15 clients aged 18-99+ - home health care for clients of age 18-99+ Some other activities are temporary or occasional: - the long-established Three Kings Collection, regular one-time activity, where 380 volunteers from our region are annually involved - the National Food Collection in cooperation with national volunteers from the local Nursing School - cooperation with the National Food Bank, distribution of food for people in need (food, clothing, etc.) - activities for the public (lectures on health and care, The Charity Ball, The Arrival of Three Kings, etc.)
