Cēsu Bērnu un jauniešu centrs

Cesis Children and Youths’ Center is a 60 years old interests education establishment founded by Cesis City Council. On average it is attended been by 800 trainees a year (aged 2-20) participating in the work of about 22 different interest groups. Main areas of activities: 1)interests education (work in activities groups); 2)compulsory preparation of 5 – 6 year – old children to school; 3)methodological work; 4)organizing of culturally-educational activities for youth of Cesis and its districts; 5)organizing pupils’ activities during school holidays and in summer (camps); 6)information and advertisement; 7)research work. Aims: to offer manifold, qualitative interests education programs to the children and youth of Cesis city and district stimulating them to spend their leisure more effectively and usefully, also to promote the participation of young people in decision-making processes and to strengthen the idea and values ​​of solidarity among young people.
